Today, Farm Efkarpia produces twelve different kinds of herbs, exclusively Greek varieties with modern methods of cultivation care combined with traditional handpicked collection, natural drying and treatment. It is a family business founded in 2012 after having already spent 3 years on research and pilot cultivations of aromatic plants. Moreover, it continues with the production of pulses, cereals and maize - quality crops which count years of experience and constitute our core cultures. Farm Efkarpia and  its philosophy is the creation of Fotini Mpliatsou and Themistoklis Lekkas

Fotini Mpliatsou was born and grown up in Larissa. Her studies included journalism at the Nord European's Studies College in Athens as well as business management in ICBS Business School of Larissa. She dealt also with photography. Her strong childhood memories from the Thessalian plain and the rural family tradition have led her to deal exclusively with the land since 1989.

The cultivation of wheat, tobacco, cotton and beet enriched the knowledge of both the issue of quality of the Greek land and the farming problems. The fact of the indiscriminate use of pesticides created a new interest in the human factor and the invironmentally friendlly crops and after seminars in the Amarican Farm School of Thessaloniki she started with a pilot cultivation of aromatic plants.

Lekkas Themistoklis was born and raised in Larissa. He graduated  from the American farm school of Thessaloniki specializing in Crop Production of the sector Agriculture, Food and Environment. Active member of the Cooperative THESgi since 2013. Dealing with the cultivation and production of pulses, maize and cereals and concetrating in envoronmentally friendly crops he realises that the quality of the production is his prime concern. He follows the growing method of proper and precise agriculture.

His love for the land, that manifested from his childhood, always keeps him active and informed about the developments in farming, machinery and technology matters.
